Jeremy has teamed up with Paula Ahlberg to provide yoga classes at the studio.
Yoga is more than an exercise program – it is a path to self discovery, awareness & overall health.
If you are ready for a slightly dynamic form of Yoga – Vinyasa flow is worth a try. Traditional Yoga postures are linked together to form sequences, making this a more physical form of Yoga, much favoured by celebrities and anyone whishing to deepen their practise.
Great emphasis is placed on the breath and core strength. Incorporating breathing into the flow of movement warms the body and brings a supply of even energy to assist this active practice. When translated from Sanskrit, “Vinyasa” simply means “breath synchronised movements”.
Use of core or abdominal strength stabilises the posture and helps support the back. This is a truly addictive practice – great to try with a few friends - improving flexibility, strength, balance and overall fitness, as well as giving a great sense of calm from the mind/ body connection. Some Yoga experience is advantageous but not essential as familiarity with postures is useful. Some people prefer to book two introductory sessions before joining a class. As one becomes more familiar with the sequences the whole practise flows freely into a moving meditation.
This is your Yoga and completely uncompetitive. You work to your own ability and hand-on adjustments are always part of the session.
